European Parliament President Martin Schulz is expected in Athens on Thursday, for a meeting with new Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, SYRIZA announced.

Αccording to AMNA Schulz will be the first foreign official to visit Athens after the installation of Tsipras as head of government.

According to party sources, the meeting is scheduled for 15.00 and will focus on the new government΄s negotiations with Greece΄s creditors, which Schulz will then convey to Berlin.
