PPC set for Agios Dimitrios facility desulphurization tender

The main power utility PPC will stage a tender for the development of a desulphurization project at its Agios Dimitros III and IV power facilities, budgeted at 97 million euros.

The initiative that has been included in the super privatization fund’s strategic plan for the power utility, published yesterday.

PPC also plans to soon examine its options for a dry desulphurization installation at Agios Dimitrios I-V, the aim being to best handle the facility’s short and long-term needs.

The power utility plans to make these moves in order to adjust, as soon as possible, to strict environmental restrictions set by the EU’s operating framework.
