Lagarde: IMF will discuss with any newly formed government

“Once stability prevails following the Greek elections on January 25, the IMF will continue the discussions with any newly formed government”, IMF’s chief Mrs. Lagarde said after a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington.

She went on saying that she is aware about the human cost of the IMF programme in Greece but she argued that Greece, like other countries, needs structural reforms in order to create conditions for a suitable environment for investment.
