Greece remains an attractive investment destination for foreign investors

Foreign investors remain positive towards Greece, despite the increased uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
“The successful management of the health crisis by the government has contributed to the further improvement of the country’s image in the eyes of investors,”Panagiotis Papazoglou, Managing Partner of EY in Greece said in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) said.
“The experience of COVID-19 and the increased uncertainty it has caused, have shown, in just a short period of time, how quickly a situation can change. The pandemic has, in fact, negatively affected some of the plans of investors for our country, as well as throughout Europe, but not to the extent that we might have expected, given its dramatic impact on the global economy,” he said.
As the head of EY Greece pointed out in the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, the investors, in percentages that exceed 70 pct, have a positive or very positive view, both for the management of the health crisis, and for the measures to support the economy, but also for the speed of digitization of public administration during the crisis. As a result, almost one in two investors said that their perception of the country’s attractiveness as an investment destination has improved.
