DEPA replaces CEO, company president remains at post

Spyros Paleogiannis, until now chief executive at DEPA, the Public Gas Corporation, has been replaced by Theodoros Kitsakos, a chemical engineer and member of the governing Syriza party’s energy-related division, according to reliable sources.

DEPA president Giorgos Spanoudis (photo) remains at his post, the sources noted.

Kitsakos, the new chief executive, is backed by extensive experience in energy diplomacy as well as geostrategic and geopolitical matters.

Deputy President Konstantinos Andriosopoulos was also replaced, his position going to Dimitris Dimitriadis, president of the company’s workers, the sources said.
