The energy ministry is striving for a September launch of a distribution network operator DEDDIE/HEDNO application platform concerning small-scale PV unit installations planned for Crete, the Peloponnese, Evia and the Cyclades, energy minister has told a press conference.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, the minister informed.

The platform will offer an 86-MW capacity for the Peloponnese, 45 MW for the Cyclades, 15 MW of which will concern net metering, 40 MW for Evia and 140 MW for Crete, of which 40 MW will be set aside for net metering.

Interested parties will be restricted to one application each, while the maximum capacity for each PV installation has been set at 400 KW, except for Evia, where the upper limit will be 1 MW, as this region has not experienced application processing delays due to saturation, as is the case in the other three areas.

Projects qualifying through this procedure will secure non-auction tariffs for output. An existing rate of 63 euros per MWh is expected to apply as the energy ministry does not intend to make any revisions to its RES tariff chart in the near future.
