Sigmar Gabriel says Berlin wants Greece to stay in Eurozone

According to Reuters, the German Vice Chancellor, Sigmar Gabriel, said yesterday that the German government wants Greece to stay in the Eurozone noting also that there are no contingency plans to the contrary. 

This was a response to press reports (Der Spiegel magazine) stating that Berlin believes the currency union could cope without Greece. Moreover, he noted that it is expected from the Greek government, no matter who leads it, to abide by the agreements made with the EU, referring to the January 25 Greek elections and the possible change of government.
