Wind-energy sector adds further 54 MW capacity to grid in April

Installed wind-energy capacity in Greece leaped by 53.8 MW in April, increasing the sector’s total capacity provided to the grid to 1,717.92 MW, LAGIE, the Electricity Market Operator, has announced in its latest monthly report.

Also, a further 50 KW of biomass capacity and 1 MW of small-scale hydropower plant capacity were added in April, the report noted.

Total installed capacity for biomass facilities now stands at 47.94 MW and 220.78 MW for small-scale hydropower plants. As for all other power-generating systems, the installed capacity for combined heat and power (CHP) production is 100.07 MW, 2,092 MW for photovoltaic parks, and 375 MW for roof-mounted photovoltaic facilities.
