Leading global energy officials are expected to take part in “Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2015”, a conference scheduled for March 26 and 27 in Berlin that is being organized under the auspices of the German government and its ministries for Foreign Affairs and Economic Affairs and Energy.

To feature prominent speakers representing the global energy market’s entire spectrum, as well as the international academic community, the conference will focus on policies concerning the future shape of energy challenges worldwide, as well as energy market revisions in anticipation of increased penetration by renewable energy sources (RES).

Organizers have announced that the list of speakers will include the German Minister for Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier, his French counterpart Laurent Fabius, as well as Germany’s Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy and Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel.

The event’s organizers have also invited Prof. Dr Antonis Metaxas, President of the Hellenic Energy Regulation Institute, to take part.

Promising to play an important role in the shaping of central policies that will, among others, also directly influence Greece’s energy market, the conference will be closely followed by energypress.
