SYRIZA’s central committee approved late Sunday the resolution (political decision) that urges the government not to give in to «memorandum-style» agreements. 95 members voted for the resolution, 75 voted against it and one member cast a blank.

Τhe resolution was rejected mostly by members of the Left Platform that had issued the following announcement: «The government must, provided that the institutions continue the same blackmailing tactics, state clearly that it will not strangle the Greek people and drain its savings, it will not pay the next installment to the IMF and that it is seeking alternatives on a social, political and strategic level on the country’s course, that will secure the implementation of its programme».
