Energy and Environment Minister George Stathakis expressed his optimism that the negotiations for the third review will conclude until the end of the year as this is also the institutions’ desire, in an interview with the Sunday newspaper Realnews.
Stathakis pre-announced a “fairer and more transparent” social tariff adding that those families that receive solidarity income will have up to 80 pct discount in the electricity rate and this will gradually escalate up to 20 percent depending on the wealth and income condition.
