RES producers resort to European Court over surcharges imposed

SPIEF, the photovoltaic energy producers association of Serres, in northern Greece, joined by other producers, has taken a case against the Greek state to the European Court of Human Rights for extraordinary surcharges imposed on renewable energy source (RES) producers.

The producers, numbering 108 in total, decided to resort to the European Court after their case was rejected by the Council of State, Greece’s Supreme Administrative Court.
