Energy & Environment Minister Kostas Skrekas discussed progress in German investments in Greece at a meeting with Ambassador Ernst Reichel on Tuesday.

Talks focused on solar energy and the strategic agreement between Greece’s Public Power Corporation (PPC) and German power company RWE. Investment interests by other German companies in the field of renewable energy sources was also discussed.

Skrekas also briefed Reichel on the lignite dependency phase-out project in western Macedonia and Megalopolis, and the investment opportunities arising in these areas from the implementation of the EU’s Just Transition plan.
