RAE’s PV pilot tender query replies uploaded, deadline nearing

RAE, the Regulatory Authority for Energy, has uploaded, on its website, its responses to various queries forwarded by interested parties concerning a pilot tender to offer PV system installation capacities totaling 40 MW.

Interested parties had until yesterday to submit their questions. According to sources, RAE received numerous telephone calls on the issue over the past few days.

The PV capacities to be offered by the pilot tender have been divided into two sections concerning projects of less and more than 1 MW. Applications may be submitted until November 22 at 3pm.

The tender’s regulations specify that PV sub-category capacities will not be offered if respective registration levels do not exceed 40 percent of the total amount offered for each sub-category.

According to EU directives, Greece will need to have introduced a new framework for tenders as of January 1, 2017.
