Major oil and gas regional event to be held in Athens for first time

Major oil and gas company officials, ministry representatives from eleven countries, 33 leading international speakers, as well as 25 key exhibitors, will take part at the 3rd Global Oil & Gas Black Sea and Mediterranean conference and exhibition, the sector’s most significant event for the region, to be held in Athens for the first time, on September 23 and 24 at the Metropolitan Expo exhibition and conference center (“Eleftherios Venizelos” Athens International Airport).

The event is being co-organized by the London-based ITE Group Plc, a leading organizer, internationally, of oil and gas sector exhibitions and conferences, and Greek company Rota SA, a leading exhibitions organizer, both locally and throughout southeast Europe.

Besides Greece, the event will focus on recent hydrocarbon developments in Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Georgia, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Tunisia.

Enterprises active in the fields of oil and natural gas deposit management, construction firms, suppliers of equipment, products and services, as well as management, maintenance and repair companies will all be represented at the event, whose conference is being organized in conjunction with the exhibition.

As for the conference, views will be exchanged and proposals presented on the complex task of extracting and utilizing the region’s wealth, while participants will also focus on growth and investment issues.

Speakers will include leading officials from ministries and oil companies in Egypt, Albania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Israel, Cyprus, Lebanon, Ukraine, Romania, and Turkey, among other nations.

Licensing prospects, including prospective rounds, the difficulties encountered in deep-level extractions, sector challenges, types of utilization and distibution, a detailed examination of the prospects in southeast Europe, analysis of the entire production chain, including government, operators, project development agencies, consulting and legal firms, as well as Mediteranean and Black Sea’s commercial and strategic map, will all be covered at the conference.
