LAGIE begins RES payment for June, July production

LAGIE, the Electricity Market Operator, issued a bank payment order today for the settlement of the remainder of renewable energy source (RES) invoice amounts concerning production in June, 2014.

The operator announced that payment of RES invoices concerning the month of July has also begun, along with the payment of additional invoices issued for April, May, and June, by RES producers who have submitted official declarations stating that they had not received any subsidized financial aid until August 15, 2014.

Based on today’s payment orders, 6,670 wind parks will be paid up to 6,375 euros each.

Just yesterday, LAGIE, representing the RES producers, threatened to take legal action against PPC (Public Power Corporation) subsidiary firm IPTO, Greece’s Independent Power Transmission Operator, which is responsible for providing RES payments, over a growing amount of unpaid RES production.
