Kotzias meets Turkish counterpart Sinirlioglou

The Greek-Turkish relations, the Cyprus issue, the condition in Syria and Iraq as well as the migration and refugee crisis were the issues discussed on Thursday’s meeting between Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and his Turkish counterpart Feridun Sinirlioglou on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

During the meeting, the two ministers made a review of the bilateral relations, discussed ways to improve them, and decided to enhance the cooperation between Greece and Turkey on the refugee and migration crisis.

Moreover, they agreed on exchanging visits of foreign ministries’ secretary general, which would pave the way for the visits of foreign ministers as well as the next Supreme Council of Cooperation between Greece – Turkey
