Katrougalos: The government will not accept IMF’s demand for unfavorable labour changes

The IMF is asking for unfavorable changes in the social security system, but we will not accept them, Labour Minister Giorgos Katrougalos on Monday said in statements to ANT1 TV.
“The IMF has extreme views, but we do not concede,” he underlined adding that the social security issue has closed from the first programme review.
He reiterated that the government has avoided the horizontal cuts on pensions and explained that only 220,000 or 10 pct of pensioners were affected.
Finally, Katrougalos reassured that the government will proceed with corrective measures for free-lancers and scientists as regards their insurance fees.
