The Investors & Internet Association (SED) has expressed its firm approval of this week’s listing of Eltex Anemos subsidiary firm Anemos on the Athens Stock Exchange’s main market, the first in five years.

“We consider it appropriate to give credit to the parent company Eltex, which, in spite of the times and, up against the economic crisis being experienced by us all, opted to list its subsidiary firm, ‘Anemos’ on the Athens Stock Exchange…” the association noted in an announcement.

The association, in its statement, described the Anemos IPO as a “robust and hopeful”, while also noting that it “indicates something is beginning to move, after five years, towards the right direction.”

“The listing comes as a reminder that the Athens bourse can, once again, serve as the most significant lever of growth for the Greek economy,” the association’s statement concluded.
