Increased funds for ‘Saving at Home’ program

The level of subsidized funds to be offered to property owners for domestic energy efficiency upgrades through the “Saving at Home” program will be increased following a decision made yesterday by the Ministry of Environment, Energy & Climate Change to lift certain constraints for regions around the country where the program’s development has been more subdued.

Regional amounts to be offered through the program following the revisions include a 34 million euro sum for the wider Athens area as part of an overall package worth 307.2 million euros.

Last autumn, the Development and Competitiveness ministry announced that it plans to continue its “Saving at Home” building energy upgrade program, implemented under the 2007-2013 National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF), an EU funding program, following its warm reception by citizens and the market.
