Procedures for the appointment of a consultant to set up the new tender offering 66 percent of DESFA are expected to be launched within the current month.

TAIPED, at yesterday’s board meeting, decided to officially terminate the previous tender, also offering a 66 percent stake of DESFA. The effort collapsed last November after Azerbaijan’s Socar withdrew from the prolonged sale process after failing to reach an agreement with the Greek government.
