Greek seasonally adjusted unemployment rate eased to 25.7 pct in September, from 28 pct in September 2013 and 26 pct in August 2014, Hellenic Statistical Authority announced.

The statistics service, in a report, said that the number of unemployed people totaled 1,241,114 in September, while the number of employed people totaled 3,589,280, up 2.3 pct compared with September last year and up 1.6 pct compared with August 2014.

The number of unemployed people fell by 123,115 in September, 9 pct down compared with September 2013 and down 0.1 pct compared with August 2014. The economically non-active population totaled 3,293,357 in September, down 0.2 pct on September 2013 and down 1.7 pct compared with August 2014.
