Greek scientist among winners at German Green Talents event

A local young scientist has been selected as one of the winners at the upcoming Green Talents event in Berlin on November 7.

Nikolaos Moustakas, aged 30, is one of 25 winners, chosen among 800 applicants hailing from over 100 countries, to be honored for their green-related research work. The Greek scientist, a PhD student whose research work is focused on photocatalysis and artificial photosynthesis, also won first prize at another competition this year, FameLab, organized by the British Council.

The Green Talents competition, staged for the sixth time this year, is organized by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
