Greece well represented at top European solar energy event

The 6th annual edition of Solar Asset Management Europe, a two-day conference to focus on the optimization of the operational phase of PV plants and portfolios, is scheduled to take place in Milan, Italy, on October 23 and 24.

The conference, regarded as Europe’s leading industry event in its domain, promises to bring together top players active in the European solar market, including asset managers, IPPs, utilities, investors, (O&M) service providers, manufacturers, developers and advisors.

This meeting hub for solar industry professionals in Europe represents an excellent opportunity for participants to gain additional insight into the fundamentals as well as cutting-edge topics related to solar asset management and O&M.

Dynamic developments in Greece’s solar PV market captured the interest of Solarplaza, the conference organizer behind the Solar Asset Management conferences.

Konstantinos Tzanakakis, Project Manager at Solarplaza, regards Greece as a key market for developers aiming to grow their portfolio over the coming years.

Highlighting the Greek market’s appeal, Florida-based US firm Origis Energy, a leading solar developer in Greece and key player in the global solar energy market, maintains 31 Greek projects – a large percentage of its overall capacity – in its portfolio. Last May, Origis Energy was ranked among Europe’s top 70 portfolio owners. Origis Energy has facilitated the construction of over 1 GW of Solar PV in Europe, the US as well as Latin America.

Participating speaker Diomidis Dorkofikis, who works in energy infrastructure investments in Southern Europe for Foresight Group, is listed among the event’s speakers. He will share his valuable expertise with a speech on the ‘Deployment of Solar PV financing’.
