Juncker: Greece has to replace any measures cancelled with new ones

European Commission chairman Mr Juncker  stated that the Greek government has to replace any measures cancelled with new ones so that the country’s fiscal performance will not be affected. Mr Junker said that if the Greek government considers some of the measure anti-social it has the right to cancel them but this should not affect the country’s fiscal position.

In addition, he said that the government is willing to accept 70% of the current program but they need to identify the remaining 30% in order to be replaced.

Finally, he expressed his concern about the fact that last Wednesday’s Eurogroup meeting did not end with an agreement between Greece and Eurozone.
