According to government officials, there was a positive climate yesterday during the first meetings between the troika officials and the Greek government delegation headed by the FinMin.

The focus on yesterday’s talks was on the budget execution; the Greek FinMin told reporters after the meeting that Greece will aim to show that the program is well on target, both on the fiscal and the structural level, and to convince creditors of the country’s credibility.

Today’s discussions with the other Greek ministers are expected to focus on ongoing civil service overhaul and pension reform.
