Eurogroup’s decisions were below expectations, SYRIZA’s Tsipras says

“Unfortunately, the decision taken at yesterday’s Eurogroup was below expectations,” main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras said in a Facebook post on Friday, adding that “a great opportunity has been missed to rebuild EU cohesion.”
He also noted and that the window for a new debt crisis in the eurozone “which carries huge risks for our country as well,” has been left open.
SYRIZA’s leader criticised the government for failing to play a leading role and remaining silent in the discussion. He also accused it of being “triumphant” about Thursday’s decisions, which meant that it was essentially supporting “the catastrophic obsession of European North with neoliberal policies and lasting austerity.”
