EL.TECH. ANEMOS posts first-half profit of 4.6 million euros

The EL.TECH. ANEMOS Group of companies has posted a first-half consolidated turnover amounted of 19.2 million euros, compared to 16.9 million euros during the equivalent period in 2014, a 13.3% increase, as a result of better wind performance data.

The corporate group’s first-half EBITDA amounted to 14.5 million euros compared to 12.0 million euros in the previous year’s first half. Its EBIT figure for the first half of 2015 was 10.6 million euros compared to 7.8 million euros for the first half of 2014.

Consolidated profit after tax (net profit) amounted to 4.6 million euros, compared to 3.3 million euros during the corresponding periodof 2014. A 4.3 million-euro amount was generated by the parent company, compared to 3.1 million euros in last year’s first half.

Consolidated net profit per share amounted to 0.0515 euros compared to 0.0500 for the equivalent period in 2014.

Consolidated net debt (total loans minus cash, cash equivalents and restricted deposits, financial assets held to maturity) decreased to 96.0 million euros, compared to 104.3 million euros on December 31, 2014.

As for the parent company, its total turnover in the first half amounted to 17.5 million euros compared to 15.5 million euros in the first half of 2014. The EBITDA figure amounted to 13.2 million euros compared to 11 million euros in the first half of 2014, while the EBIT performance reached 9.6 million euros, compared to 7.2 million euros in the first half of 2014. Profit after tax (net profit) amounted to 3.9 million euros, compared to 3 million euros in the first half of 2014. Net profit per share amounted to 0.0474 euros, compared to 0.0484 euros between the January-June period of 2014.

The total installed capacity of the EL.TECH. ANEMOS Group of companies in the first half of 2015 was 191.45 MW, comprised of 13 wind farms totaling 184.5 MW, one small hydroelectric unit of 4.95 M, and a photovoltaic facility of 2.00 MW.

In mid-August, the company began a trial run of an additional 16.1 MW of facilities at its Magoula-Kazakou wind farm in the Evros area, northeastern Greece, increasing the corporate group’s total capacity to nearly 208 MW.

At present, the company is constructing two new wind parks with a total installed capacity of 58 MW. Also, other projects with a total installed capacity of 775 MW are at various licensing-process stages. Of these, a 240 MW share has already been granted environmental approval.
