Appeals court rejects PPC case for industrial tariffs

The Athens Administrative Court of Appeals has rejected a case filed by main power utility PPC that had sought the nullification of previous decisions by RAE (Regulatory Authority for Energy) concerning the classification of CO2 emmision right costs.

As a result, RAE’s preceding decisions, which regard these CO2 emmision right costs as an integral part of PPC’s tariffs and not regulated, remain valid.

In comments to energypress, legal sources explained that the appeals court verdict offers practical worth as PPC is refusing to negotiate customized electricity supply deals for major industrial enterprises belonging to the medium voltage category.
