Foreign investors remained net buyers for the 24th successive month in the Athens Stock Exchange in October, with net capital inflows totalling 1.49 million euros, while Greek investors were net sellers with capital outflows totaling 9.43 million euros.

Foreign investors participation in the capitalisation of the Greek market reached 61.3 pct in September, from 60.9 pct the previous month, although if the participation of Hellenic Financial Stability Fund were taken into account (27.6 pct of market capitalisation), foreign investors’ participation stood at 44.4 pct, increased by 0.4% from September.

The value of transactions totalled 3.15 billion euros in October, up 43 pct from September, but down 20.7 pct from October 2013. Average Daily Value of Transactions in October 2014 was €142.97 million.

The number of Active Investors Accounts for October reached 28,987 accounts compared to 22,822 of the previous month (October 2013: 40,633).
