Talks on Greece’s second review to resume in Athens on Tuesday

The government’s negotiating team will begin talks with the mission chiefs of the institutions in Athens on Tuesday with discussions focusing on energy and the new privatization fund.
The first meeting on energy will be held at 17:00 and the second on the fund at 19:00.
European Union sources appear optimistic that this round of negotiations will end with the achievement of a staff-level agreement (SLA), hopefully by the end of the week. If a deal is achieved, the government will draft an omnibus bill which is expected to be approved by parliament by May 14-15, in order for the Eurogroup of May 20th to finalize the agreement, at least on the European side, and while the International Monetary Fund is considering its position.
