Prime Minister flying to Paros for the opening of new airport

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is to attend the opening of the new airport on the island of Paros, departing for the island on Friday morning on a special Aegean/Olympic Air flight from Athens International Airport. The inauguration and blessing ceremonies for the new airport will take place at noon and the prime minister is due back in Athens on Friday evening.

During the ceremony, there will be speeches by the prime minister, in addition to Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Minister Christos Spirtzis and Aegean Airlines Board Vice Chairman Eftichios Vassilakis. Tsipras will also be given a tour of the new airport and meet local industry and business associations.

11:00 – Departure for Athens International Airport on special Aegean/Olympic Air flight

12:00 – Inauguration – Blessing ceremony
12:10 – Address by Spirtzis
