PPC to offer discounts for bigger power consumers

PPC, the Public Power Corporation, has just announced lower electricity rates for medium and large-scale enterprises, valid as of January 1, 2015, as part of an effort to boost overall productivity in Greece.

The revised pricing policy concerns enterprises with low and medium-voltage connections consuming at least 1 GWh per year. Based on these conditions, approximately 30,000 enterprises stand to benefit from the PPC rate reduction.

The discount rate to apply will range between two percent and 5.5 percent, depending on consumption. The discount rates will be tiered, with larger consumers to benefit the most.

This pricing policy revision follows a reduction offered by PPC last July to small and medium-sized enterprises.

In an announcement, PPC noted that it is supporting professionals by offering significant help in the reduction of operational costs and reinforcing their efforts towards greater competitiveness. The corporation added that the knowhow it has gained over a 64-year course in Greek society constitutes the most useful and consistent partner for the country’s business sector as it strives to recover and exit the crisis being experienced by Greece.
