RES plan includes tender for 50 MW in PV facilities within 2016

Details concerning a tender to offer renewable energy source investors 50 MW in photovoltaic capacity within the second half of 2016 are included in the energy ministry’s new RES support plan to be forwarded for public consultation procedures within the next few days.

According to the plan, the tender will be open for facilities with capacities of over one MW, requiring production permits, as well as smaller facilities with capacities of less than one MW, which are exempted from requiring production permits.

The ministry’s plan also specifies the tender’s bidding upper limits at 94 euros per MWh for photovoltaic facilities with capacities of more than one MW and 104 euros per MWh for photovoltaic facilities with capacities of less than one MW.

Bidders will be entitled to bid for a maximum capacity amount of 10 MW.

Prospective projects for which investors had not submit letters of guarantee by an end-of-February deadline and, as a result, lost their rights, according to law, may submit these letters of guarantee now as a means of being permitted to take part in the tender. These letters of guarantee can be returned if bidders fail to secure photovoltaic capacities through the tender.

A steady feed-in-tariffs system will be maintained for roof-mounted photovoltaics at a rate of 110 euros per MWh.
