Central banker optimistic about Greek economy

Bank of Greece Governor Yiannis Stournaras reiterated his forecast for economic growth in the second half of this year in a speech at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday.
He also said he expects 2.5 percent growth for 2017 and 3 percent for 2018 and a primary surplus for the general government of 0.9 percent in the current year. Stournaras said there is an important increase in revenues from indirect taxes which is due to electronic transactions which have revealed important taxable assets.
